Material: The original holotype is lost: the neotype is housed in the Staaliches Museum Fur Naturkunde Stuttgart (SMNS 16700). There is abundant referred material (listed in Rieppel, 2000)
Distribution: Middle Triassic (Anisian? to Ladinian), Europe.
